Alfa Romeo GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce) (English: Fast Grand Tourer) and Alfa Romeo Spider, two sports cars produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 1995 to 2006. The GTV is a 2 +2 coupe and Spider convertible is a two-seater version of the GTV. The rear seats on the GTV can choose to be removed to increase space for startup. Spider has no rear seats that only a small storage startup. Known by their internal designation Alfa Romeo 916, GTV and Spider was launched at Geneva Motor Show in March 1995. The name of the GTV, placed him as the successor to the long-discontinued Alfetta GTV coupe, while Spider was effectively replace the 30-year period.
Both cars were designed by Pininfarina. and phase 3 spiders were collected by Pininfarina. The car was produced in three different phases. This is a typical Italian design, with Alfa Romeo grille with round dual headlamps, reminiscent of 1750 GTV in the late 1960s and 1970. It has a wedge shape with a nose high and low kicks to the tail. The rear of the car is cut-off with Kamm tail, which provides for better aerodynamics. The car is very low slung entry and exit is difficult. Spider share these characteristics with the GTV, except that the back is rounded. Spider also a folding soft top with five hoop frame, which completely disappears from sight under a flush cover. An electric folding hood mechanism is mounted on the newer versions. As might be expected that GTV has a stiffer chassis, but considerable work has been done on Spider to reduce the problem of traditional convertible scuttle shake.
The wheels are 15 inch alloy wheels as standard perforated teardrop 16 inch rims 205/50 tires are part of the faculty included in the Luxury package, Momo leather seats and air conditioning. The possibility of factory 17 rims 225/45 tires teledial was popular, as are the secondary market for the larger 18-inch wheels or 235/35 235/40 tires.
