Chrysler 300 is a full-size near luxury sedan type which was the first time at the 2003 New York Auto Show as a concept car. U.S. sales began in spring 2004 as a car model year 2005-the beginning. Designed by Ralph Gilles, the new 300 was built as a high performance, sporty sedan. Chrysler 300 is also marketed in Australia as the first full-sized Chrysler cars sold there since the Valiant was discontinued in 1981. Chrysler 300 is based on the disc wheel rear platform Chrysler LX which includes components derived from the W210 Mercedes-Benz E-Class from 1996 to 2002. The shared components include the design of the rear suspension, front seat frames, wiring harnesses, steering wheel, the design of 5-speed automatic transmission, and a derivative of all-wheel drive 4MATIC drive system. The 300 base (or 300C in some countries) come with 17-inch wheels, alloy wheels, disc brakes on four wheels, a single MP3 disc player, auxiliary input jack, power driver seat and a four-speed automatic. It uses a DC 2736 (2.736 L; 167.0 cu in) V6 makes 190 hp ERA (140 kW). In Canada, it comes standard on the Touring model 3518 cc (3.5 L, 214.7 cu in) V6 engine.
